Bank Holiday Monday away win success
matchnews.gifIt was obviously better to travel on Bank Holiday Monday than stay at home for out of the eight matches played and no home team won with a couple of draws being the best result obtained for those with home advantage.

The tone for the evening was set in the Premier Division where Dronfield Town slipped to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Sandiacre Town. John Perkins scoring the Dronfield goal.

Three away wins in Division One were all by the 2-0 margin. Willington winning at Belper United Reserves, Heanor Colliers beating Matlock Sports and Matlock United triumphing at Woolley Moor United. Holbrook St Michaels Reserves broke the mould when they drew 2 all at home to Dronfield Town Reserves with Justin Weller and Rob Atterwell scoring for Michaels.

It was Bargate Rovers Reserves at home to Castle Donington Town Reserves in Division Two that had the evenings other 2 all draw. Rob Whittingham and Paul Robinson scoring for Bargate. Chris Cartledge scored the Swanwick Pentrich Road Reserves only goal as they beat Allestree Reserves 1-0

Dronfield Town who some pundits have already tipped for the title, kept pace with the leaders by winning 2 -1 at Wirksworth Town and the 1 – 0 at home to Melbourne Dynamo. Carl Moore scored for Wirksworth in the defeat against Dronfield.

There was no gaols for Allestree on Saturday when drew 0 – 0 with Wirksworth Town. Midweek though Allestree had a nap hand as they beat Newmount 5 – 1 with a brace each from Martin Lawson and Shaun O’Donnell and one from Chris Corbett.

Holbrook St Michaels also beat Sandiacre Town 2 – 0 in their midweek clash with goals from Nick Ganley and Rich Clark. Ganley was at it again on Saturday scoring twice as the Michaels beat Ashover 4 – 2.

Latest League News
midnews.gifThe website as now been updated with the latest scores I have received this week. There is now also an option on the website to email the scores and other details directly to the website this will ensure that results and tables are updated as and when matches happen.

A link for this can be found on the left in the Main Menu (Match Report Form) if you could please nominate one person from your club to use this form, then we will not be getting duplicated data.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR RINGING YOUR SCORES IN ETC. THIS STILL MUST BE DONE.

We will also be publishing match reports on all games provided these are sent to us. It would be nice to receive reports for both teams in a match then both viewpoints can be given and this always makes for interesting reading.

Please try and make your reports full and precise as possible.

Reports can be seen by click the “News” in the Main Menu and then selecting Match Reports, you will also be able to find links to reports in the fixtures list, provided we have been sent one.

Fixtures & League Tables
Fixtures have now been updated with the latest scores. League Tables are being produced now, the Premier Division is already published on the site.

Once these updates are complete we will be setting up an email account for match reports and scores along with goal scorers, this will not replace the official lines of reporting the match results, but should speed up the publication of results and the league table. Of course the score will be checked against the official list when we receive it.

Latest
Welcome to the new The Belfield Midlands Regional Alliance website.

At present we have updated the fixtures for all leagues for August 2007, as soon as new fixture dates are made available this will be added to the website.

League tables will be updated shortly due to the amount of mid week matches it will be inappropriate to update these on a daily basis, the tables will be updated and made available on the website on the Monday of every week. This will take in the previous midweek and weekend games.

Also on the website will be including the club directory, with contact details of the various club members. There is also a section for directions and address of the ground for each club along with a link to your clubs website. Over the next few months hopefully shorter than that we will be updating this section.
