matchnews.gifTwo wins in the week too Ilkeston Town Reserves to the top of the Premier Division. A 1 – 0 win at Borrowash Victoria Reserves on Wednesday evening and then being followed by a 3 – 1 success at Newmount on Friday evening.

Ripley’s chances were dashed to reclaim the top spot when they lost 3 – 0 at home to Shirebrook Town Reserves.

Midweek Shirebrook had drawn 3 all at Cromford and the latter going away on Saturday to Shepshed Dynamo Reserves wherethey won 4 – 2 with goals from Anthony Fay, Alex Dawson, Steve Prime and Scott Ryder. Goals for Shepshed came from Andy East and Andy Dunn.

Dronfield Town who some pundits have already tipped for the title, kept pace with the leaders by winning 2 -1 at Wirksworth Town and the 1 – 0 at home to Melbourne Dynamo. Carl Moore scored for Wirksworth in the defeat against Dronfield.

There was no gaols for Allestree on Saturday when drew 0 – 0 with Wirksworth Town. Midweek though Allestree had a nap hand as they beat Newmount 5 – 1 with a brace each from Martin Lawson and Shaun O’Donnell and one from Chris Corbett.

Holbrook St Michaels also beat Sandiacre Town 2 – 0 in their midweek clash with goals from Nick Ganley and Rich Clark. Ganley was at it again on Saturday scoring twice as the Michaels beat Ashover 4 – 2.

Ashover also lost in the week when despite an Ant Lynham wonder goal they went down 4 – 3 to Rowsley 86 after leading 2 – 0 and 3 – 1. Rowsley goals came from Chapman (2) and one each for Furniss and J Cooper. Melbourne inflicted a second home defeat in a row when they beat Derby Rolls Royce Leisure 2 – 0. Belber United gained their first win of the season when a James Gration goal enabled them to beat Borrowash Victoria Reserves 1 – 0.

Long Eaton United reserves only having played 2 games this season could not get on the scoring sheet and lost against Sandiacre Town 1 – 0 with the winning goal coming from Danny Hale.

Dean Corney and Nathan Boyser as they lost to Little Eaton in Division One action on Wednesday evening. Friday evening Jay Whittaker scored for Derbyshire Amateurs as they lost 4 – 1 to Little Eaton. Saturday, Dean Corney again scored for Bargate Rovers as, this time they lost 2 – 1 to Matlock Sports. Derbyshire Amateurs, for their part on Wednesday lost 3 -0 to Swanwick Pentrich Road.

Wednesday saw Heanor Colliers beat Matlock United 1 – 0through a Danny Allsopp goal, while Pastures for whom Fern scored lost 2 -1 to Belper United Reserves, with Sam Norris scoring both for United.

Steve Conners scored 2 goals and another 3 coming from Dale Stewart, Sam Bartram and Richard Harris as willington beat Dronfield Town Reserves 5 – 0. Matlock United had Pat Mosley, Luke Fisher and Liam Beresford as their scorers in a 3 – 3 draw with Castle Donnington Town. Chellaston meantime looked to goals from Paul Brooks, Robert Naylor, Mark Le Blond and Michael Tristram to beat Woolly Moor United 4 - 2.

Midweek in Division Two saw Richard Hanif score four goals as Mickleover RBL beat Beeston 7 -2. While Findern beat Castle Donnington Town Reserves with an only goal from Danny Parker.

Saturday in Division Two, Beeston had Webster and Ireson as their goal scorers when defeating Pastures Reserves 2 -0. Aaron Cruttwell scored for Allestree Reserves as the lost 9 – 1 to Rowsley 86 Reserves.

Robbie Thompson, Adam Parker and Steve Spencer scored for Wirksworth Ivanhoe as they beat Melbourne Dynamo Reserves 3 – 0. Wirkswoth Town beat Alvaston Silver Ghost 4 – 3 with goals for Wirksworth coming from Steve Brown (2), Ben Rose and Ben Waterfall, goals for the Ghosts came from Ernie Johnson, Lance O’Riley and Olly Buxton
