Burton Town move step closer to Division Two crown.

BURTON Town inched closer towards the Division Two crown after securing a 2-0 victory over fellow title hopefuls Willington Sports.

Mitch Baker and Faesar Hussain got the winning goals for Town who now only need to win their final game of the season to be crowned champions.

Third placed Mayfield kept up their hopes of promotion with a 3-0 victory at Little Eaton Reserves courtesy of David Edge's double and strike from Harrison Avery.

In the sole Division One game, Melbourne Dynamo could not over-turn a 19-goal deficit to overtake league leaders Castle Donington Cobras and win the title as they drew 1-1 at Rowsley 86 Reserves.

Andrew Roome netted for Rowsley; Finley Charles for Dynamo.

Two goals from Jordan Parsons guided Chesterfield Town to a 2-1 victory over Wirksworth Town in Group A of the Supplementary Cup.

Newhall United booked their place in the final of the Challenge Cup as they beat Shirebrook Rangers 3-1 thanks to an own-goal and efforts from Joe Kilduff and Karl Wayte.

Elsewhere, Castle Donington Cobras will meet Melbourne Dynamo in the final of the Junior Cup after hammering Punjab United 9-0.

Karl Munton and Tyler Withers bagged braces while Will Pearson, Josh Hallam, Ross Simms, Ross Buchanan and Tony Warren completed their scoring.
