Castle Donington crowned mathematical champions of Division One.

CASTLE Donington Cobras have all but secured the Division One title following their 4-0 rout at Rowsley 86 Reserves.

Cobras sit three points ahead of second place Melbourne Dynamo who have a game in hand and need to win their final game of the season at Rowsley by a margin of 19 goals to overturn a mammoth goal difference deficit.

The other game in the division saw Matlock United run out 3-1 winners at Little Eaton.

Steve Wood gave United a ninth-minute lead before Sam Stone levelled things up on the stroke of half-time.

But a second half brace from Dan Bridge secured all three points for the visitors.

Two goals from Leon Shore fired Derby Singh Brothers to a 2-0 victory over Cromford in the Premier Division while basement Allestree drew 1-1 with AFC Kilburn.

Bradlee King netted for the Trees; Daniel Matkin for Kilburn.

In Division Two, Wirksworth Ivanhoe edged past Littleover Dazzlers 4-3 thanks to Sam Bowley's double and one apiece from Louis Higton and Ashley Billam.

Meanwhile, David Edge bagged a treble in Mayfield's 4-0 victory over Rolls-Royce Leisure.

Ian Godfrey also netted for the hosts.

Melbourne Dynamo are through to the final of the MRA Junior Cup after securing a 2-1 after extra-time win over Willington Sports.

Dave Brough and Tom Colclough were on target for Dynamo.

In Group A of the Supplementary Cup, Division One outfit Chesterfield Town secured a 3-2 victory over Premier Division champions Rowsley 86 courtesy of strikes from Cory Burton, Callum Featherstone and Jordan Parsons.

Andrew Roome (penalty) and Will Fletcher got on the scoresheet for Rowsley.

In midweek, Rowsley 86 Reserves were crowned winners of the Derbyshire FA Junior Cup North with a 3-2 victory over Baslow.

Liam Hallam bagged all three of Rowsley's goals last Wednesday night.

There was also joy for Willington Sports as they claimed a 6-2 victory over AFC South Wingfield in the final of the DCFA Junior Cup South.

Jonathan Hamilton (2), Dave Parsons, Adam Anderson, Marco Wilson and Sam Bartram netted for Sports.
