Rowsley close in on title with victory over AFC Kilburn.

ROWSLEY 86 moved a step closer to claiming the Premier Division title as they ran out comfortable 6-1 winners over AFC Kilburn.

Toby McClean and Will Fletcher bagged braces for Rowsley with Tim Baker and Ben Harrison completing their scoring.

There was a seven-goal thriller at Cromford Meadows as Wirksworth Town edged past Cromford 4-3 thanks to Toby Howard's brace and strikes from James Newton and Ryan Smith.

David Castle, Craig Matkin and Ryan Marchington were on target for Cromford.

Derby Singh Brothers consolidated fourth with a 1-0 win at bottom side Allestree while Wirksworth Ivanhoe beat Newhall United by a similar scoreline.

In the sole Division One game, Wirksworth Town Reserves picked up just their third point of the season as they drew 1-1 with AFC Kilburn Reserves.

Andrew Brown netted for Town.

Division Two leaders Burton Town maintained their promotion push with a 4-2 victory at Littleover Dazzlers.

Jarred Foster bagged a hat-trick in the win with Manzoor Amiri grabbing the fourth.

Alan Horton and Jason Hicketts replied for Dazzlers.

Elsewhere, the other Division Two game saw Little Eaton Reserves thump Wirksworth Ivanhoe Reserves 5-0.

Louis Kinnerley (2), James Funnell, Ash Edkins and Paul Young scored in the rout.

In the Junior Cup, Division One promotion hopefuls Melbourne Dynamo are through to the semi-finals as they trounced Little Eaton 13-0.

Adam Ross lead the way with four goals while Jack Goodband (3) and Dave Brough (2) netted more than once.

Carl Allsop, Jak Ward, Lee Sanders and Shaun Hayes also scored for Dynamo.

Fellow Division One promotion pushers Castle Donington Cobras are also through to the last four following their 2-1 victory over Division Two outfit Rolls-Royce Leisure courtesy of Will Pearson's brace.

But the shock of the day came at the Twyford Road Playing Fields and Division Two's Willington Sports overcame Division One outfit Rowsley 86 Reserves.

Sam Bartram (2), Joshua Hammond and Jonathan Hamilton got the winning goals for Sports.
